SPORT TAEKWONDO PROGRAM

There is Regular Taekwondo and Then There is Sport Taekwondo

The sport taekwondo program is focused on providing advanced training methods to students and watching them grow both mentally and physically. Competition really has a lot of benefits that are unmatched elsewhere. These benefits even translate over to life skills and development.

Taekwondo made its first appearance at the Olympics as a demonstration sport at the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul, South Korea. The opening ceremony featured a mass demonstration of taekwondo, with hundreds of adults and children performing moves in unison. Taekwondo was again a demonstration sport at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, Spain. Taekwondo became a full medal sport at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, Australia, and has been a sport in the Olympic games since then.

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) Session confirmed Taekwondo’s place on the Olympic Games Los Angeles 2028 initial sports program on February 3, 2022, marking the eighth consecutive time the sport has been part of the world’s greatest sporting event.

What makes our sport taekwondo program something you should consider:

  • Take your Taekwondo to the next level.
  • Competition boosts your competitive edge.
  • Learn to win and learn to accept defeat when it occurs respectfully!
  • Gain friends outside of NTA.

The sports taekwondo program at NTA Taekwondo we offer a pathway to win national championships and the ultimate achievement, representing Team USA on the world stage.”
